The natural place I enjoy visiting is a wetland park on the east side of my city. It’s not far from the residential area where I live, and I can get there by bus in about twenty minutes.

I go there about twice a month, usually at weekends. I sometimes go more often in spring because the weather is comfortable and the trees look nice.

When I’m there, I walk around the lake, take photos of flowers, or sit on a bench. There are also wide paths, so it’s easy to walk without feeling crowded. If I have time, I buy a drink at a small kiosk and watch the water for a while.

I usually go with my wife. We talk about our week as we walk, and she likes taking pictures too. Sometimes we just sit quietly, which is relaxing after a busy week.

I enjoy this place because it feels peaceful and gives me a break from traffic and noise. It’s a simple place, but I always feel better when I leave.

  • Giving frequency · “about twice a month”
  • Giving a reason · “a break from traffic and noise”

Honestly, my favourite natural spot in the city is a wetland park on the east side, about a twenty-minute bus ride from my home. It’s close enough for a casual visit, but it feels a world away from the busy roads nearby. I usually go twice a month, mostly at weekends, and I visit more often in spring, when the trees are fresh and the weather’s mild.

I normally walk the path around the lake, take photos of the flowers, and then sit on a bench for a bit. The paths are wide and well kept, so even when other people are around, it doesn’t feel cramped. If I’ve got extra time, I’ll get a drink from the little kiosk and watch the water; it’s a nice way to slow down rather than rushing from one thing to the next.

I usually go with my wife, who enjoys taking pictures as much as I do. We chat about what’s happened during the week while we walk, although sometimes we just sit quietly and enjoy the view. I like the place because it gives us a proper break from traffic and noise. Even a short visit helps me feel calmer, so I tend to head home in a much better mood.

  • Vivid contrast · “feels a world away”
  • Adding seasonal detail · “when the trees are fresh”
  • Relative clause · “who enjoys taking pictures”
  • Conditional sentence · “If I’ve got extra time”
  • Developing the feeling · “helps me feel calmer”
