Scoring

Four criteria, each worth a quarter of the band

Fluency and CoherenceHow long you can keep going without strain, and whether your ideas link up and are easy to follow.
Lexical ResourceThe range and precision of your words, including natural phrases and paraphrasing when you don’t know a word.
Grammatical Range and AccuracyA mix of simple and complex sentences, and how many of them are free of errors.
PronunciationHow easy you are to understand, including stress, rhythm and intonation.

Bands run from 0 to 9 in half steps. Ashore scores the first three on every answer. Not assessed yet. The report says “not assessed” instead of guessing a number.
