Describe a book you enjoyed without retelling the whole plot. What kind of reading experience did it give you?
One book I particularly enjoyed was a short-story collection in which each story followed a different resident of the same apartment building. The language was simple, but the small details felt real. One character always checked the mail even when she wasn't expecting anything. Another could recognize his neighbors by their footsteps. I liked noticing those ordinary habits. The chapters were short enough to read before bed. I didn't have to remember a complicated plot. Still, the stories slowly connected, and I began to see the building as a small community. The book made me more curious about the people I pass every day. What stayed with me was how the author showed loneliness without repeatedly naming it. A character setting out two cups by habit told me more than a long explanation would have. That kind of detail made the stories feel quiet but emotionally clear.
