Describe the place where you usually do yoga. What about the room and its arrangement helps you pay attention?
I practice yoga above a flower shop, in a small studio with pale walls and a wooden floor. There are no large decorations, just a shelf for blocks and folded blankets. The mats are placed with enough space between them. I don't feel worried about touching the person next to me. The windows face away from the main road, so the room is fairly quiet. I like the soft light in the early evening. It makes the room feel different from my office. When I put my phone in the changing area, I find it easier to pay attention to the class. The teacher also keeps the instructions clear and leaves some quiet between them, which suits the space. I don't have to watch everyone else constantly to understand what comes next, and that makes the class feel less like trying to copy a performance.
